About Mrs. Eisberg

I am very excited to begin another year at Haworth Public School!  I began teaching in 2004, and figured out early on in my classroom teaching career that my favorite part of teaching is exploring different varieties of books with my students.  I look forward to continuing to appreciate literature, investigate non-fiction, and delve into research with the wonderful children of Haworth.

What will we be learning in library class this year?

In conjunction with covering the topics in the Library/Media Curriculum Guide, I plan to collaborate with your child(ren)'s classroom teachers/English teachers in order to support their instruction, delving deeper into topics, thus making your child(ren)'s learning experiences richer and more meaningful.

Thanks to the school administration and the H.H.S.A., I will also be organizing several author visits throughout the school year.

I am currently in the process of introducing reading incentive programs for every grade level to the students.  The reading incentive programs for K-8 are available for viewing on this website.

Under my guidance, Haworth students in the 5th and 6th grades will return to the Battle of the Books this year. We may be battling students from Norwood, Harrington Park, and Hillsdale in this reading competition.

In addition, I plan to continue collaborating with the Haworth Municipal Library to make information, programs, and resources readily available to your child(ren).

If you have any questions, or if there's anything I can help you with, please don't hesitate to ask.  Thank you and I look forward to having a successful year with you and your child(ren).
