Students in grade 4 study New Jersey in depth as part of the social studies curriculum for the year. There is a text and workbook that is used by each fourth grade teacher and students engage in one or more research projects through the year. Some of the links overlap with information. The following links to web sites are suggestions for enrichment and possible use for research projects.

Satellite image of New Jersey. -The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has a map of the watershed areas in New Jersey as well as pages containing information about water quality. The Internet Public Library contains pages with information about all fifty states, or click on the words New Jersey, for Jersey only. There is a page containing general information about the state of New Jersey followed by a list of all the towns. These are links with statistics for each town. (See next entry for direct link to Haworth.) -Statistical information about Haworth, NJ is online. -High Point, NJ is New Jersey's highest point. Visit the website to take a virtual tour. -New Jersey is home to several State Parks. -Did you know that New Jersey has a state song? It's called "I'm from New Jersey."
